COLOMBO

Colombo is the largest city and commercial capital of Sri Lanka.
It is located on the west coast of the island and adjacent to
Sri Jayawardenepura Kotte, the capital city of Sri Lanka.
Colombo is a busy and vibrant city with a mixture of modern life and
colonial buildings and ruins, and a city population of 647,100.

Colombo is the commercial capital of Sri Lanka and the country's largest city. Colombo which lies near the mouth of the Kelani River is one of the major ports in the region. It is known for its great breakwaters, which give shelter to a large, artificially built harbor. This harbour is connected with Beira Lake by a canal and locks. The country's bulk of foreign trade is handled at this port which is also an important fueling station.
